Experience with First NY Insurance
Like most life insurance purchasers, I was a first time buyer. Yes, I had some coverage from my group policy at work, but, now with our first baby on the way, I needed to really think about planning for the future. It wasn't a process I looked forward to. We all have the preconceived notion of the smarmy insurance salesman. You know, Needle-nose Ned. Ned the Head. Ned Ryerson! I was looking for a quick quote on how much a policy will cost. A friend recommended First NY Insurance. I hadn't heard of them. But, she had used them and said they had the quickest and easiest quote tool of all insurance brokers. She was right. The website is direct and simple to follow. The home page gives basic information and direct access to acquiring a free quote.
After clicking on the “Get Free Quote” button, the I was taken to “Step 1” of the quote process. A rollover of the mouse pointer highlighted the state where I live.
“Step 2” of the process the I completed the brief form provided. And it is brief, only three questions. After filling in the Gender, Age and Tobacco fields, the I clicked on “Get Quote.”
A chart of available coverages and terms appeared. I then clicked on the desired coverage. $350,000 fit my needs.
And, viola...my quote.
I clicked on “Apply Now.” Filled out some very basic contact information about me. And within a few minutes a representative called me. She went over my information and signed me up. Within a few days, my policy was in effect. It couldn't have been an easier process. In a few months my little daughter will enter the world with some financial security. I hope she doesn't have to use it for a long time, but it's nice knowing I've got her covered.
